Rhodocybe hirneola (Fr.) Orton Cap 1-3cm across, convex becoming flatter, often depressed; gray to dirty gray-brown, frosted whitish on the crown. Gills curvingly decurrent; gray to brownish. Stem 20-35 x 10-30mm, slender; gray to gray-brown; sometimes with spots or patches, base covered in white hairs. Spores finely warty, 6.5-9 x 5-6.5µ. Deposit gray-brown. Habitat in deciduous and mixed woods Rare. Found in Europe and Washington state. Season September-October. Edibility not known -avoid. |
